what can you get

hermanes hike

Hermanes is located at the northern corner of Unst, the northernmost island of Shetland, and is also a hiking spot for observing the northernmost lighthouse in the UK. Most seabirds return in March and April. Visit in spring and you'll see gulls, gannets, puffins, kittiwakes.

See them outside the aquarium!

One of the ways to experience the amazing Shetland Islands is by sea. Explore cliffside seabird colonies, hidden beaches and, if you're lucky, spot orca and minke whales, dolphins and other spectacular marine mammals! (The cost of going out to sea to watch whales is at your own expense)

Is there anything more romantic than watching the aurora?

Because the Shetland Islands are closer to the Arctic Circle than anywhere in the UK and are sparsely populated. So it has the cleanest night sky in the UK. It is also the northernmost aurora observation site in the UK, and it is the last aurora observation window in March and April.

oh! Pony!

Shetland's world famous ponies can be seen all over the island, grazing by the roadside, on the beach or on the heather-covered hills. The dwarf pony has a docile personality, you only need to grab a handful of grass from the side of the road to abduct him!

the northernmost border

The absolute end of all roads in the UK, it has the northernmost end of everything. It is also one of the most diverse and interesting islands in Europe. With diverse biota, whales and beautiful birds.

Sumburgh Lighthouse

The sea will always show you the way

Sumburgh Lighthouse is the southernmost tip of the Shetland Islands, echoing the Scottish mainland. It is also the oldest lighthouse in Shetland. The lighthouse was built by Robert Stevenson in 1821.

Shetland has a variety of excellent beaches and breathtaking coastal cliffs.

There is the coastline of Ithanes perched on the edge of mythical volcanic cliffs. The northernmost lighthouse in the UK, Levik Beach where a group of seals sleep. Overall, Shetland contains most of what Scotland has and what it doesn't.

Saint Ninian Beach

There is a beach connecting Saint Ninian Island and Shetland Island. Viewed from a height, its symmetrical curved form is particularly striking. The beach is flooded at high tide, but the sand is dry most of the year.

If you don't arrive here, where will you point out the drunk sunset? On the cheeks of lovers? Where to wait for the chirping of the Arctic puffins returning to their nests? In the heart of Paleocene fossils?

Shetland is a dream that stretches infinitely and fades quickly. Pictures, poems, music, all expressions began to collapse from the second they left the island, and could no longer restore Shetland itself.

Crystal , Glasgow

I wouldn't use the word travel to tell anyone about any of my travels, let alone my trip to Shetland. It seems that travel is more appropriate. A car and a backpack, a group of people laughing all the way. You can take a nap in the car when you are tired, and the glass on the car will bring the scenery into your heart.

Planks, Manchester

The trip to Shetland ended successfully, and time never stops for anyone.

Jolen said that he always felt that he was still at sea, and the lord in the wind and waves asked if the ship was flying. Landlord on the off-road vehicle pointed to the sign and said: read it. Jason was still digging sand under the car. Shetland is like a dream that does not want to wake up, as beautiful as the sunrise.

Coco

Very original, a super satisfying trip. The biggest difference from other groups is that they have a driver and a professional tour guide at the same time. Moderately priced, not perfunctory, that's enough.

Give me a rush! Shetland deserves it!

Aurora and starry sky! We were playing games in the big house of the B & B, and suddenly gathered urgently. The tour guide turned into an aurora hunter and took us straight to the observation point. Finally saw the aurora!
